According to R.A Lester-industrial relations involve attempts to have workable solutions between conflicting objectives and values, between incentive and economic security, between discipline and industrial democracy between authority and freedom and between bargaining and co-operation.

Training & Development

Training is the important subsystem of human resource development training is a specialized function and one of the fundamental operative functions for known resource management.

According to Dale S beach- Training is the organized procedure by which people learn knowledge and for skill for a definite purpose.

According to H. John Bernardin- Training is any attempt to improve employee performance on a currently held job or one related to it.

According to Chowdhury- Training is the process which enables the trainees to achieve the goals and objectives of their organization... human resource management



Development is a long term educational process utilizing a systematic and organized procedure by which managerial personnel get conceptual and theoretical knowledge. According to dale S. Beach.-Development is a systematic processes training and growth by which individuals gain and apply knowledge, skills, insights and attitude to manage orientation effectively.

According to Flippo -Development includes the processes by which managers and executives acquire not only skills and competency in their present job but also capacities for future managerial tasks.

According to Koontz and Donnell—Development concerns the means by which a person cultivate those skills which application will improve the efficiency and effectiveness with which the anticipated results of a particular organizational segment are achieved... human resource management

Learning
Learning is an important psychological process determining human behavior. It is a continuous process and it occurs all the time. Learning may be defined as the sum total of behavioral changes resulting from experience at training. The newly acquired knowledge and experience serve as feedback to the individual and provide the basis for future behavior in similar situations... human resource management
